How the Chessonomy puzzle leaderboard works

The leaderboard ranks signed-in players by their Chessonomy puzzle rating. Rating changes come from puzzle activity, not from a public chess account or over-the-board rating. Solving a tactical position, missing the answer, revealing the solution, skipping a puzzle, and building a streak can all affect the training record shown here.

This page is built for chess players who want a clear tactics benchmark without turning practice into noise. The main number is the current puzzle rating, while solved count, current streak, and best streak show whether the rating comes from consistent training or a short run of recent results.

To improve your position on the leaderboard, train from the puzzle page and treat each missed tactic as a study prompt. Review the motif, replay the candidate moves, and come back the next day. The strongest results usually come from regular, focused sessions instead of rushing through many puzzles at once.

Train for ranking

Start with daily puzzles for discipline, then use classic mode when you want a longer tactics session.
